Job Description
1. Quality Control Operations
- Oversee full QC process from material intake to finished product release.
- Ensure 100% inspection of incoming materials for integrity, labeling, contamination, and conformity to specifications.
- Verify product consistency during blending and packing through in-line quality checks (ratio accuracy, segregation, hygiene, and environmental control).
- Supervise finished goods inspection — visual appearance, labeling, sealing, and carton integrity — before batch release.
- Conduct random cupping/tasting to ensure sensory match with reference standards.
2. Documentation and Traceability
- Maintain accurate and complete QC records for raw material, in-process, and finished product checks.
- Prepare and update inspection sheets, non-conformance reports (NCR), and batch release forms.
- Ensure traceability of all QC activities for audit readiness and compliance with internal and external standards.
- Support Factory Manager in internal and external audits (ISO, Halal, customer audits, etc.).
3. Non-Conformance and Claims Management
- Investigate internal and customer quality complaints; work with related departments to identify root causes and define corrective/preventive actions (CAPA).
- Follow up with relevant departments (Trading, Quality Development, Operation, Warehouse, Execution) to ensure timely resolution.
- Monitor recurrence of non-conformances and drive continuous improvement actions.
4. Team Supervision and Development
- Supervise and coordinate daily tasks of QC Inspectors on both shifts.
- Ensure consistent inspection standards and cross-shift communication.
- Train QC team members on inspection methods, documentation practices, hygiene, and sensory evaluation.
5. Continuous Improvement
- Identify recurring quality issues and propose process improvement measures.
- Promote a quality-focused culture across the factory floor.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in food or beverage quality control, preferably in instant coffee or similar powder-based operations.
- Good knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, ISO, HALAL, FSSC)
- Sensory evaluation and cupping skills required.
- Proficiency in MS Office; ERP or factory data systems knowledge is a plus.
- English communication (spoken and written) preferred.
