Job Description

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

 

  • Work, and act in a manner consistent with the mission of Ace Hotel.
  • Warmly greet and acknowledge guests upon arrival and/or while moving through restaurant 
  • Prepare and serve alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks consistent with the restaurant’s  standard drink recipes and guest expectations
  • Remain fully knowledgeable of all menu offerings, acceptable modifications, allergy protocols, and any other information needed to maintain guest satisfaction and safety
  • Practice responsible alcoholic beverage service (including age verification) and report any issues to management
  • Record orders into the POS accurately and immediately after having received them
  • Recognize, engage, and learn the names and preferences of regular guests
  • Work with fellow employees and management, in a friendly and communicative manner, to meet guests’ needs and support the operation of the restaurant
  • Accept guest payment, process credit card charges and/or room charges, and make change upholding Ace Hotel, PCI, and cash handling procedures
  • Participate in daily pre-shift meetings and any scheduled employee meetings
  • Responsible for all areas of bar checklist on a daily basis
  • Ensure integrity of perishable ingredients such as garnish, fresh juices, wine, etc
  • Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of bars, work areas, any assigned tables, glassware, utensils, and bar equipment
  • Stock bar with necessary product and service tools (i.e. beer, wine, liquor, and related supplies such as ice, glassware, napkins, straws, etc.) as needed
  • Prepare necessary garnishes, syrups, juices, and/or batches according to Sister City standards
  • Report all equipment problems, damages and bar maintenance issues to managers
  • Utilize employee entrance and back of house elevators during working hours 
  • Be knowledgeable of property facilities, services, hours of operation, in-house events, and promote property outlets to better assist guests 
  • Maintain confidentiality of guest, employee, and company information
  • Perform additional duties as requested by department managers and supervisors
