Job Description
As a Learning and Development Coordinator at Cloud Ascent, you’ll spark growth and unlock talent across the organization. This is your opportunity to design and deliver interactive training programs that elevate our teams by strengthening the soft skills that drive success in every workplace. Beyond soft skills development, you’ll help implement a Learning Management System (LMS) and integrate it with Microsoft tools to enhance training accessibility and tracking. You’ll then oversee all aspects of Microsoft-related learning initiatives, including the effective use of Microsoft Learn and Viva Learning. You’ll also manage certification tracking systems, coordinate training sessions, and support employees along their Microsoft skilling and certification journeys.
Responsibilities:
Training Needs Assessment:
- Identify skill gaps and learning priorities through surveys, performance data, and collaboration with management to align training with organizational goals.
Program Design and Development:
- Design and update training programs using diverse formats (e-learning, workshops, seminars) to meet evolving learning needs.
- Create and deliver engaging training materials, including presentations, handouts, and digital content.
- Develop and facilitate onboarding programs to introduce new hires to company policies, culture, and learning practices.
Learning Management System (LMS) Administration:
- Research, evaluate, and recommend the most suitable LMS platform for company-wide implementation.
- Manage and maintain the LMS, ensuring accurate course registration, tracking, and user management.
- Integrate the LMS with Microsoft Learn and Viva Learning to streamline access to role-based skilling and certification resources.
Employee Engagement and Development:
- Promote a culture of continuous learning by encouraging participation in training initiatives and assigning relevant courses with clear deadlines and progress assessments.
- Support career growth through coaching, mentoring, and peer-learning opportunities.
Training Logistics & Microsoft Exam Readiness
- Coordinate employee enrollment in Microsoft Learn paths and manage certification exam scheduling, including registration and rescheduling.
- Maintain calendars for training sessions, exam deadlines, and certification milestones, while liaising with Microsoft Learning Partners and external providers to ensure smooth program delivery.
- Support internal and external training events (e.g., workshops, bootcamps) and track employee progress, offering reminders and resources to boost exam readiness.
Continuous Improvement and Innovation:
- Stay informed about the latest trends and best practices in learning and development.
- Introduce new learning technologies, tools, and methods to enhance training programs.
Reporting and Documentation:
- Maintain accurate records of all training activities, including attendance, feedback, and outcomes.
- Prepare reports for management on training program performance, successes, and areas for improvement.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Education, Information Technology, Computer Science, or any related field.
- 0-3 years of relevant experience.
- Well-developed communication skills with the ability to connect with people at all levels and influence effectively when appropriate.
- Confident, proactive personality with the ability to lead discussions, influence stakeholders, and motivate learners.
- Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory (French is a plus).
- Basic knowledge in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint...).
- Prior internship or hands-on experience in learning and development or HR is preferred.
- Strong organizational skills with a focus on relationship building.
