Job Description

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Commis to join our culinary team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Commis, you will play a crucial role in supporting our kitchen operations and contributing to the creation of exceptional dining experiences for our guests.

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of various food items according to recipes and quality standards
  • Maintain a clean and organized workstation, adhering to food safety and hygiene regulations
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth and efficient operations
  • Participate in food preparation tasks such as washing, peeling, chopping, and portioning ingredients
  • Assist in the proper storage and labeling of food items
  • Support senior chefs in plating and presenting dishes
  • Contribute to kitchen inventory management and stock rotation
  • Participate in cleaning and maintenance of kitchen equipment and facilities
  • Adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment
  • Continuously learn and develop culinary skills under the guidance of experienced chefs

Job Qualifications

  • At least 1 year of experience in a professional kitchen setting
  • Fluency in English, with strong communication skills
  • Basic culinary skills and knowledge of various cooking techniques
  • Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards (HACCP knowledge is a plus)
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment
  • Strong teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Physical stamina to stand for extended periods and lift up to 25 pounds
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays
  • Attention to detail and commitment to quality in food preparation and presentation
  • Willingness to learn and grow in the culinary field
  • Culinary education or relevant certifications are preferred but not required
