Job Description
1. Quality Checks (QC Operations)
- Handle the QC process: from checking raw materials to releasing the finished product.
- Check 100% of incoming materials: Make sure they are clean, labeled correctly, not contaminated, and meet our quality rules.
- Check product quality during production: Check consistency during blending and packing. Focus on correct ratios, cleanliness (hygiene), and control of the factory environment.
- Inspect finished products: Check how they look, the labels, the seals, and the box quality before we approve the batch.
- Taste Test (Cupping): Do random taste tests to confirm the flavor matches our official standard samples.
2. Documents and Tracking
- Keep clear and complete QC records for all checks: raw materials, during production, and finished products.
- Write and update reports: inspection sheets, non-conformance reports (NCR), and forms for batch release.
- Make sure all QC work can be tracked easily for internal and external audits (e.g., ISO, Halal, customer checks).
- Help the Factory Manager prepare for and manage all audits.
3. Fixing Problems and Claims
- Investigate problems: Look into quality issues inside the factory and customer complaints. Work with other teams to find the main reason (root cause) and plan fixing actions (CAPA).
- Follow up: Contact other departments (Trading, Warehouse, etc.) to make sure problems are solved quickly.
- Stop problems from repeating: Watch for recurring quality issues and propose ways to continuously improve our work.
4. Improving Quality
- Find and report quality issues that happen often, and suggest better ways to work.
- Encourage a focus on quality and safety throughout the factory.
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Food Technology, Chemistry, or related field;
- 3 years’ experience in food or beverage quality control, preferably in instant coffee or similar; powder-based operations, experience in leading a small team is a plus;
- Good knowledge of food safety systems (HACCP, ISO, HALAL, FSSC);
- Sensory evaluation and cupping skills required;
- Proficiency in MS Office; ERP or factory data systems knowledge is a plus;
- English communication (spoken and written) preferred.
