Job Description

Responsible for designing, implementing, and overseeing robust monitoring, evaluation, and learning systems to track program performance and impact.

Manage data collection systems and tools, ensuring data integrity, analysis, and visualization for strategic insights and reporting.

Monitoring & Evaluation (M&E) Framework

· Oversee collecting, managing, and reporting data for projects, certification and other sustainability  

  • Together with subject matter experts and project coordinators, design and implement M&E frameworks and performance indicators aligned with project goals, donor requirements, and organizational strategy. 

· Develop and implement data collection tools and protocols for field teams and partners.

· Coordinate baseline, midline, and endline assessments such as carbon footprints as well as impact evaluations like SROI

· Track and analyze projects outputs, outcomes, and impacts against set targets and KPIs.

· Support program teams in integrating M&E practices into daily implementation processes.

Data Management & Quality Assurance

· Oversee implementation of digital data collection tool, ensuring country users are properly trained and tool is used optimally.

· Ensure accuracy, completeness, and reliability of data collected from multiple sources.

· Conduct regular data quality assessments and provide feedback for continuous improvement.

· Ensure proper data storage, confidentiality, and security in line with data protection policies.

Reporting & Visualization

· Develop and maintain dashboards and visualization tools to communicate key program metrics.

·   Prepare timely, accurate, and comprehensive project reports for management, clients, and donors.

· Support proposal development and reporting with evidence-based insights and data narratives.

· Translate complex data into clear and actionable information for decision-makers.

Team Management

· Line-management of 2 team members, a junior data analyst and sustainability accounting admin. 

  • Train field teams and partners on M&E tools, data collection methods, and reporting standards.

· Provide ongoing mentorship and technical support to enhance M&E and data literacy across teams.

· Foster a culture of learning and adaptive management through M&E feedback loops.

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in M&E, Statistics, Environmental studies , Agriculture, Development Studies or related fields
  • Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in M&E and project management in sustainability, agriculture, or development programs.
  • Proficiency in digital data collection tools (e.g., KoboToolbox, CommCare, ODK, Cropin) and database management.
  • Strong analytic and reporting skills with experience in statistical tools and visualization tools (Power Bi, Tableau, Excel)
