Job Description
We are seeking a professional and vigilant Lifeguard to join our team in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia. As a Lifeguard, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safety and well-being of swimmers in our aquatic facilities. Your primary responsibility will be to prevent accidents, respond to emergencies, and create a secure environment for all patrons.
- Monitor swimming areas diligently to prevent accidents and identify potential hazards
- Respond swiftly and effectively to emergency situations, performing water rescues when necessary
- Administer first aid and CPR in case of injuries or medical emergencies
- Enforce pool rules and regulations to maintain a safe environment for all swimmers
- Conduct regular safety checks of the pool area and equipment
- Assist in maintaining pool cleanliness and performing basic pool maintenance tasks
- Communicate clearly and professionally with patrons, providing information and addressing concerns
- Complete accurate and detailed reports of incidents, accidents, and rescues
- Participate in regular training sessions to stay current on lifesaving techniques and safety protocols
- Collaborate with team members to ensure comprehensive pool coverage and patron safety
- Demonstrate proper swimming techniques and water safety practices when required
Job Qualifications
- Excellent swimming abilities and physical fitness to perform water rescues
- Current lifeguard certification
- Valid CPR and First Aid certifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Strong observation skills and ability to remain alert at all times
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- In-depth knowledge of water safety protocols and procedures
- Proficiency in using and maintaining lifesaving equipment
- Basic understanding of pool maintenance and water chemistry
- Ability to work in outdoor conditions and withstand prolonged sun exposure, particularly in Riyadh's hot climate
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays
- Quick decision-making skills and ability to remain calm under pressure
- Meticulous attention to detail in monitoring and reporting
- Previous experience as a lifeguard preferred
- Water Safety Instructor (WSI) certification is a plus
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Physical stamina and mental alertness to maintain focus during long shifts
