Job Description
Job Purpose/Summary
The Sales Manager leads, coordinates, and optimizes the commercial activities within their scope. They define the sales strategy in line with the company’s objectives, manage sales teams (field sales, inside sales...), ensure the achievement of revenue, profitability, and customer satisfaction goals, and actively contribute to portfolio development.
They also ensure alignment of commercial practices with the Group’s values and brand image.
Primary Accountabilities
- Strategy Development & Execution
- Define and implement the sales action plan for their area/segment.
- Conduct continuous market and competitive intelligence.
- Analyze market trends and identify growth levers.
- Contribute to pricing strategy in collaboration with relevant departments.
- Sales Team Management
- Supervise, support, and motivate sales teams (training, coaching, performance reviews).
- Monitor individual and collective performance through defined KPIs.
- Organize regular sales meetings.
- Business Development
- Participate in negotiation and management of key account contracts.
- Develop a strategic professional network in key industries.
- Identify and pursue new market opportunities or service diversification.
- Track sales performance, profitability, and customer satisfaction indicators.
- Performance Monitoring
- Produce regular reports for management (targets, revenue, margins, etc.).
- Analyze commercial results and implement corrective actions.
- Actively support debt collection in collaboration with sales teams.
- Continuous Improvement & Cross-Department Coordination
- Contribute to improving sales processes and digital tools.
- Gather customer needs from the field to inform offer evolution.
- Collaborate closely with marketing to align campaigns and tools.
Job Qualifications
Competence & Requirements
- Bachelors / Master’s: degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Logistics, or equivalent (business school or university).
- 5 to 7 years in B2B sales, including at least 2 to 3 years managing a sales team. Experience in transport, logistics, or shipping is a plus.
- Strong B2B sales techniques and complex negotiations
- Strategic planning and key account management
- Proficient in CRM tools, sales cycles, KPIs, and office software
- Solid knowledge of finance, pricing, segmentation, and legal framework for sales
- Ability to generate reports and conduct strategic analysis
- Strong leadership and team-building ability
- Excellent verbal and written communication
- Analytical mindset, result-driven
- Autonomy, rigor, responsiveness, and initiative
- Strong customer focus
- Professional fluency in English, French is an advantage (spoken and written)
