Job Description
Project Management
- Lead end-to-end technical project delivery: scoping, planning, execution, commissioning, and handover
- Manage project timelines, budgets, deliverables, and stakeholder alignment across internal teams and external vendors
- Prepare and maintain project documentation, technical reports, risk registers, and progress updates
- Conduct risk assessments and propose mitigation plans to ensure execution within scope, schedule, and budget
- Support CAPEX planning and business case development with detailed engineering input
- Coordinate multi-site and cross-functional projects, including engaging global factory teams for alignment and knowledge transfer
Technical Engineering & Operations
- Lead troubleshooting of packing line issues — mechanical, electrical, and process-related — during both startup and steady-state operations
- Identify root causes of recurring issues and implement corrective and preventive actions
- Manage and execute preventive maintenance schedules to ensure equipment reliability and uptime
- Liaise with equipment suppliers for technical support, spare parts management, and warranty resolution
- Ensure compliance with GMP, food safety, and hygiene standards across all technical activities
- Act as a shared global technical resource: provide remote or on-site engineering support to other factories within the group as required
Automation & Continuous Improvement
- Drive automation initiatives to improve line efficiency, reduce downtime, and enhance process reliability
- Implement and optimise machine automation including sensors, controls, and PLC logic adjustments at a troubleshooting level
- Evaluate opportunities for automation in material handling, inline inspection, and end-of-line operations
- Work with automation partners and vendors on integration, testing, and commissioning of new systems
- Support development of digital monitoring tools such as OEE dashboards and machine data collection platforms
- Provide structured training to operators and technicians on new equipment and automation systems
Equipment Scope — Required Hands-On Exposure
- Jar filling, capping, and induction sealing lines
- Vertical / horizontal form-fill-seal (VFFS / HFFS) machines for sticks and sachets
- Premade pouch (doypack) filling and sealing systems
- In-line inspection systems: checkweigher, metal detector, X-ray
- Coding, labelling, and end-of-line automation systems

Job Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing or factory environment; Fluent in English
- Demonstrated experience in both technical project management and hands-on engineering — this is a non-negotiable dual requirement for this role
- Strong background in mechanical or mechatronics engineering
- Proven ability to manage projects from initiation through commissioning, including vendor coordination and budget oversight
- Hands-on troubleshooting experience with packing or production lines
- Food or FMCG industry experience is a strong advantage
