With the loss of someone’s home country comes the loss of their culture, social circle, routine, and the role they’ve grown into throughout their life. Refugees are faced with an epic amount of reassessment upon arrival in a new country. The foreign environment creates the feeling of uselessness within refugees that directly impacts their ability to adapt and contribute to society by joining the local labor market.

"If provided with a little bit of support and an opportunity to show themselves, refugees represent a labor force that is beneficial for any company.

The absence of external support (programs regarding cultural differences especially within the workplace) also significantly impacts their ability to engage in the workforce. Another crucial aspect to consider is lack of direction for refugees. Without knowing how to make the first step, refugees are simply left stagnating on their own. Such issues and even more occur to undocumented refugees too.

The need to learn the language is another major challenge for people to face, as it takes years to master in order to efficiently speak in a work setting. Additionally, refugees can become an easy target for dishonest employers that promote exploitation in the workplace, as some of them recognize the desperate situation people are facing and want to use it for their own benefit. Hence, many refugees are constantly looking for a platform that could not only provide a potential job seeker with employment, but also secure a safe and fairly paid position. However, if provided with a little bit of support and an opportunity to show themselves, refugees represent a labor force that is beneficial for any company.
